A safe and thrilling route for all
The Via Ferrata route is secured with fixed points and safety cables. Simply clip in with your harness for a safe and memorable experience – even for beginners. Some sections can be a bit demanding due to elevation changes. Suitable for adults and children from 8 years and up, but each child under 14 must be accompanied by an adult for safety.
Equipment rental
You are not allowed to use the Via Ferrata without certified safety equipment (helmet, harness, and lanyard). Children's harnesses fit from approx. 125 cm up to 155 cm.
Complete equipment sets can be rented from Byrkjedalstunet:
Adults (with rented equipment): NOK 300
Children (8–16 years, with rented equipment): NOK 200
Using your own equipment? The fee is only NOK 120 per person
How to get there
Via Ferrata Gloppedalsura is located along County Road 503 between Veen and Byrkjedalstunet. It's just a 4-minute drive from Byrkjedalstunet, or you can walk a scenic 2.8 km trail.
